I work all these materials using traditional technologies-forging and grinding.

Because all my knives are made of carbon steel, they require frequent and careful maintenance.

For the handle, I use almost exclusively natural materials such as wood, bone, horn, leader, metal...

Given that I’m trying to use “live“ materials, and that I make knives from the heart, I am convinced that they have a soul. You can see that for yourself only if you care for them and use them with care.....
They live their own lives.....

The used technology allows using the knife in daily life, such as making food, working with wood and cutting other soft materials. It also easily sharpened using a specifically designed whetstone (other ways might be rather harmful). Knives hate to be treated roughly such as hacking, wrenching, cutting steel, screwing or throwing! (I am happy to supply you with adequate tools for such activities).

Every knife is unique and I can guarantee that I will not make the same or similar knife again. Therefore the photos that you will see are rather samples of my work. Most of the knives in photos already have their owners. Those interested in my work can see the knives that are currently available HERE. I stopped making custom-made knives in 2013 so you can see any new products on www.knife.cz. If you find yourself interested in any of the knives presented, let me know.

My knives are for everybody, but mainly for lovers of the great outdoors who will not do without this tool on their wanderings. At the same time I try to sell the knives for a reasonable price so those who actually need them can afford them. If a knife serves you well and for a long time, it is my greatest reward.

Maintenance

* The blades of all carbon knives must be kept clean and preferably in a dry place, protected by a greasy film (advantage for fat and butter lovers).

* Any rust on polished blades can be removed with a fine abrasive paste, or in worse cases using sandpaper under water, p max 240 moistened with oil. Black blades can be cleaned with a wire brush.

* When sharpening, as stated above, only using a moistened hand whetstone, it is necessary to adhere to maintain the original slope of the edge!!!

* Handles do not require much maintenance, lard, however, does them well. Wooden handles can be impregnated with wax.
